A company’s brand personality is vital to its existence in the market. All the elements that make up a brand’s personality is a reflection of its work ethic, its stance, its ideals and the emotions that are associated with it. To get a business established and recognized, it is extremely important that they invest in getting their brand personality out there for people to positively associate with and relate to. There are diverse ways to communicate the brand message of a company that also represent its identity and personality. The most common symbol, apart from the logo of course, is that of the company mascot.

The personality of the business is revealed through the colour, shape, tone and representation of the mascot. They tell a story through their appearance and encompass the mission and vision that the brand stands for. They make a brand recognizable and are an authentic symbol that people will keep in their minds. Along with representing the brand personality, it also engages with the clients and customers of a business, reminding them of how great their experience with the business was.

But mascots that are solely digital can only engage with their audience for as long as they are on their screen. The impact of the mascot is lost when the viewer is off the page and is engaged in something else. Therefore, physical mascots achieve a lot more in terms of providing broader visibility, constant engagement and an experience of feel and touch.

Roto Rooter Plumbing understood that having a physical mascot not only boosts their brand awareness, but also acts as a strategic advantage that has lasting long term effects on their business.

Roto-Rooter is a Cincinnati based plumbing company and is the largest provider of drain cleaning and water cleanup services in the United States. They provide services to 90% of the population in the US and 55% of the population in Canada.

In October of 2021, their general manager, Joshua Callon, contacted us and sought our services to bring the company’s mascot to life. The Roto Rooter Plumbing mascot was then transformed into a 6 inch 3D printed fully customized figurine. It was the man (mascot) holding a hammer over his shoulder and a crowbar in his other hand, while wearing a white rolled up shirt, blue suspenders and yellow gloves. He wore a cap that had an engraving of the logo of the company.

The 3D printed mascot was an absolute hit and Joshua loved it. He immediately placed an order for another mascot as it exceeded the company’s expectations.

The other figurine was of the man holding an adjustable wrench in one hand and a plunger with a tool box in another. Again, with yellow gloves, a rolled up white shirt and blue suspenders.
